Pretty sad.

They publically announce a month ago they have the age, sex and education of the suspect, and now they can't say anything.

They know who it is.  They just can't prove it.

Does the media know everything?

When a police agency issues a statement that indicates charges will be laid soon.. as in very soon.... and then those charges do not get laid, after the DNA tests have been returned to the police force, it raises questions about mistakes.

I think it was a mistake to broadcast to the people that charges will be laid soon. Something did not work out for the police in this investigation. Now 'More' test results are required.

So yes, a mistake must have been made, based on the charges soon statement and the lack of charges.
