I really thought Junior had it last night but Kyle Busch got loose and took him out.
In a way Hamlin gets part of the blame here because he brought out the caution by stopping on the track with ~15 laps to go right when Jr was pulling away - what a selfish move on his part. The restart had Busch on the 88 bumper.
I enjoyed the postrace interview with Junior too - I know some of it is crocidile tears and he's playing us a little, but what a heartfelt admission. The guy was just dying inside.

A race is won, not given and crap happens It would have been much worse if it had looked or was deliberate. My night was over from the get go, kenseth was middle of the pack all night and the "big one" was the finishing touch, what a crappy year for kenseth Gotta give jr credit though, you could tell his heart was breaking, a much more mature driver than years past, that's for sure. His daddy was never that diplomatic or in control of himself after something like that.

Busch is defining himself, win at all costs. He'll suffer from the same lack of consideration soon. Gloves will come off.

Mom - I happened to check the OP last night before the race and was shocked to see how far down the 17 is right now (22nd). Just an awful start for him. On the other hand guys that lived outside top 35 last year like Vickers and Riggs are having great seasons. What's wrong with the 17?

Part of it is car probs but he has also been wrecked a few times. Remember he also does not have Robbie on the pit box and it may be having a bigger impact than it should, can't say it is the cars cause Edwards is doing fine, so it has to be the crew chief change and some bad on track luck.

I agree, the missing ingredient seems to be Robby R. KC

Personally, I'm a Jr fan. But I didn't really have a problem with the wreck, just hard racing. It's the crap that comes out of Bush's mouth afterwards. Especially after the Nationwide event the night before. "I'll wreck as many cars as I have to to win!"
That sums up why he gets boo'd at every track he goes to.

I always loved Skinners comments a week after he wrecked Earnhardt Sr one time. They asked him if he had apologized to Sr and talked it out, he said "Nah, I'd wreck my own grandma to win a race" As would earnhardt himself, I remember seeing him do it to Terry Labonte twice in one year, once with success. Then he would say he was just trying to rattle his cage. When Mayfield did it to senior, senior quickly replied that he was sure mayfield would say he was just trying to rattle his (sr's) cage. Busch just has to remember one thing, once you open your mouth with such comments and actually follow through, it will happen to you as well.
