Clearly it is about Livingstone, not his community or the Golf Course.

Every community has them, some communities tolerate them more than others.  You can always pick them out of the crowd - they use a sledge hammer when a slight tap with a spoon would suffice, and they display a sense of entitlement that was usually corrected by good parenting when they were 10.

TO issue a Press Release basically on the day of the grand opening of the course is just plain poor taste regardless of whether all of his issues are valid.  I must point out that this is just not a golf course.  This is not a local muni built on an old mine.  This is a world class Links golf course that has caught the eye of the entire golfing community.  It is nothing like Glen Arbour or Fox harbour which are expensive immacually mainured public courses nor is it anything like Ashburn.  This is a course that has the same allure as the highland links in that people from around the world will make a conscious travel decision to come and pay $300 a night hotel, $110 for golf, $18 for crab cake breakfast, $60 for a caddy and $150 a head for supper.  Golf purists will come to this course.

and on the environmental issues I beleive them to be extremely minor.  The course and nature are one

For non golfers or casual golfers a comparison on type of course would be to watch the British open this weekend.
