This should warm the cockles of jj's little, cold heart  The number of NDP members across Canada has increased by about 50% in the past few months, a sign that interest is rising as the party approaches its leadership vote next month.
The climbing numbers are staggering in Quebec, which went from a little more than 1,600 members in October to more than 12,000 by February, surpassing all but Ontario and B.C. in total membership numbers.

Your kidding me, right?? Of course your going to sign up a million members. There is a big recruiting drive on and anyone who can breath is signed up. It wouldn't be a surprise if a few who weren't breathing were approached. I know how these things go SD. It wouldn't surprise me if Tom even signed a few of the forms if he had to. And, yes, of course you signed up everyone you could not caring if they were Separatist, Commies or clowns. You guys don't mind them as members at any time. They've always been welcome under the Dips big tent. Hell, Jack even left a Separatist leader as his farewell gift to Canadians. |

Actually it just shows how pathetically inept you guys have been all along. No one has wanted to join your little band of clowns and now only do so under great duress and arm twisting with the promise that it doesn't mean we will be the government or anything, I just need your vote for this crummy little contest we're having. These so called new members of yours recently couldn't even fill a 500 seat room. Get serious SD. Bring us some real news like telling us your going to clean up your membership and throw out the misfits.

For some reason when I heard of the Quebec membership numbers I began to recollect the time Mulroney sent his guys out to the homeless shelters to round up as many bums as they could to go vote for him at the leadership convention. Think we should call up the Old Brewery Mission to see if any NDP workers stopped by lately??  |
