I jokingly asked my 13 year old son if he wanted to go.  I assumed he would laugh not knowing who they were.  He did repond no - his reason.  |They suck because they dont have Slash anymore"

well well well I guess I was told

What's coming to Halifax ain't Guns & Roses, it's Axl & buncha guy who needed a job. None of the original GNR members are still w/ the band.

Saw them last night in moncton... I could barely hear Axl, and the ignorant ...(guy) still makes you wait for more than an hour after the crew has set up to start playing.  The show was good, but I was holding a grudge for standing for an hour and a half to see an overweight old singer run through an act that hit it's peak 15 years ago, and only has one member left.

The band actually wasn't that bad...  the pyrotechnics were pretty good. Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) had a ton of energy and his duet with Axl was the highlight of the show until Bubbles took the stage.  My drive made me leave during Liquor and whores, the first encore song, and that was at 1:20-1:30 or so...

Isn't that the best part of a Monction event - getting to leave Moncton at the end of it? Wink

Said that earlier this week in front of the Regional Science Director - little did I know he grew up there . He had a good laugh (thankfully)   Cheesy

Not nearly as much of a wait here - about 45 mins between Sebastian Bach ending and GNR starting.

It really isn't GnR, the song writers are no longer in the band, Izzy who was the musical brains behind the band is not there, same with Slash, Duff, and Steve.

Who cares? They still put on one hell of a kick ass rock n' roll show regardless of who is still in the band.

Axl is clearly a shadow of his former self, not worth the money IMO.

Have any of the naysayers seen the show that Axl and Co. put on or taking a stand based on principle?? I was a doubter too until I saw the first show in '06 but this recent show topped that one hands down. I do agree that Axl shouldn't be calling this band Guns n' Roses but the $70+ for the ticket was well worth the cost.

Saw it.  It was pretty good, although I found from the front that his voice wasn't nearly as loud as the band was.  And I still think that Sebastian Bach rocked the crowd better during their duet.

Great to be able to finally say I saw 'G 'n R' though, even if I was initially reluctant to pay the $80.
