In the warm fuzzy arms of the Reform Party

GE,

Some of us are not stupid. In fact, some of us are educated, experienced, successful, and well-traveled. LOL

That being said, this issue should have come to council prior to being announced, and I believe that we should be sending a SMALLER group. These trips can be useful, and $25K out of a $700M budget is fairly small. I expect those participating to provide a full report to those left behind!

Through my work at novaknowledge, we have investigated how HRM and NS are doing with solid waste diversion. We have actually done a pretty good job of it and we should be proud. We are presently finalizing a novaknowledge Report Card on the subject of agricultural sustainability in NS.

My first reaction to the Swedish story, was that some provincial representation would also be worthwhile on the tour. We are a small in both population and geographic size, so the province and regions must work together.

Best,
Tim

Tim, not sure why you have decided to deal with this 'forum'. There must be real work to do. You will never please the regulars here. Nothing is satisfactory for these experts.

No, there is never any shortage of work to be done and I enjoy doing it. Sometimes I just like to hear what the people are saying and suggesting once in a while. Cheers

Well, we can follow, or we can lead - we can become the experts and enjoy the benefits or we can just sit around and wait for life to be imposed upon us.

The world travels - it is a small place.

Go for it HRM, be the best, become the experts - or we will continue to be just another city in a world of cities.

Linda Mosher - you have been listening to Gloria McCluskie's style for too long - you approved the budget, and now the budget is being spent - don't act so surprised!  DAH!

And BTW Ms. Mosher -  yes I do think this is more important than another newsletter to help you get re-elected!
