Great article. And 4 great golf courses. And yes, Fox Harb'r is definitely expensive.
I'm surprised that he didn't mention the view of Alexander Graham Bell's home from Bell Bay.

Highlands Links, amazing spot and a world class course, very difficult, too bad the government is doing what governments do and are running it into the ground. Le Portage in Cheticamp has some great views and long drives but the Club House is shit. Bell Bay not amazing, but taken care of and fun. Inverness has a new course being built as well. Next to Ski Beneion there is a new course which is almost done and its fun, at least the bit I tried some nice views of the foothills and Bras'dor Lakes.

The Highland Links is the absolute HolY grail of Canadian Golf because you must travel to get to a gem. MY first round I played from the blues and knocked down 4 birdies and I walked and shot 79 - I played a second 18 that day obviously in a buggy.
MY last time ther I checked my blackberry on the tenth tee only to be amzed that I had closed a sell of a stock where I had done ridiculously well like 50 times my money ( it was worthless a year ater) and on the 11th tee I hit an extra ball off a pile of moose dung still steaming.
Bell bay great - was 77 there last time also with 4 birds but the dung day above was a bad day at the links with a 95 or so as it was the next day windy and hungover.
I almost started a thread on this today but searched for a similar thread and then got distratced before I had to go hac up an 83
