I hate perscriptions , it's poison and costing millions ,the people who make these drugs are insane , and should be charged with making "physical' bombs .
It's one thing to be cured for infection or accident but to just drug people , Old "or' Young , for the sake of an invention is another thing , and should be considered  a CRIME .

Complete nonsense.

Not 'complete" nonsense Oogie. Many prescription drugs are indeed no better than poison. Way too many doctors prescribe unnecessarily and those drugs are poison to those people.

And how much of that isn't the fault of a society that now wants a pill to fix every problem they have, from the common cold to a hang nail, to their over-active kid?

Regardless, life is a chemical reaction. Those prescribe chemicals are needed to bring the reaction back into balance. To lump sum it all as poison is indeed nonsense.

Oh god...the fault of society? ? ? So you go into your doctor with a hangnail and demand an antibiotic...and he/she gives it to you?

It's the fault of the drug companies advertising all these damn drugs that are touted as miracle cures for manufactured "disorders" like social phobia...shyness.

No, I go in for phenytoin.

Do you do everything television tells you to? Who's fault is it for believing these advertisers?

Surely as a former health professional, you studied some form of chemistry.

The impact mass media has on spreading 'popular realities' (different then TRUTH) is well documented via plenty of research.

The pharmaceutical industry is broken, under the current model it's driven to continuously expand consumption - not necessarily cure illness, which would ultimately lead to a constantly shrinking consumer base. If pharmaceutical companies operated on a business model of fabricating and delivering goods that solely cured ailments, they'd go out of business.

Thank you.. I have seen first hand the effects of what "drugs" can do to one's thinking .
All our vitamins come from food "real food" . I am not saying every drug manufactured is poison but darn near.
The give [him or her] a perscription and send them home attitude is not exactly what I call a healing method .
I have heard it all when it comes to this topic .
But of coarse the choice is up to the individual , some people want to do "drugs' .
So there you have it .
On a different level some of these doc. are known as mercy killers .
They are on every level of society .
There is no future for the teenagers in the steet , this is part of the reason why .
Go to the drug store , look on the shelf , check out the labratory for yourself and find out if it's worth it .
The doctors are not going to admit they experiment on "susceptible" people , it's going on all the time , everyday , as routine practice .
This is how society today accepts the issues on perscription drugs .
